High level group of officers from Border and Residence Department of Jordan visited in Finland and HAUS on 16-19 April. The group was led by Brigadier Mutasem A.O ALMAJALI.
The study visit programme included e.g. presentations on Finnish political system and public administration structures and functions, introduction of Customs School of Finland and its career development plan, functions of Finnish Parliament and Finland’s defence policy.
The participants visited also border crossing point Vaalimaa between Finland and Russia. The themes of study visit covered both informative and practical approaches related to Border Guard, Customs, Parliament and other state level authorities’ functions and tasks.
The attendees got also an extensive picture on leadership programmes, eLearning (such as eOppiva), EU and Finnish civil service training and international project co-operation of HAUS.
Both HAUS and Finnish Border Guard representatives explained what kind of tools are used in strategic development and how the strategies have been implemented in public sector.
