Ms. Carmel McGregor, Deputy Public Service Commissioner of the Australian Government, paid visit to HAUS on 20 May.
The Australian Public Service Commission develops people management and development policy in the Public Service. The Public Service Commission is also in charge of career development and fostering of good leadership in the Service.
Ms. McGregor’s visit was hosted by Mr. Markku Sauri, HAUS Managing Director, Ms. Nina Niva, Senior Consultant, and Mr. Ari Sihvola, Head of HAUS International.
Ms. McGregor was briefed on the topical issues in the Finnish public management development. Special attention was given to the efforts that HAUS has conducted abroad on promotion of good governance and fight against corruption.
The entire briefing was flavored with a vivid discussion on similarities in development needs between the Australian and Finnish Public Service.
